To celebrate Black History Month, I will share my favorite black-owned businesses, in which I had the privilege to patronize throughout the years. I really enjoy making purchases from these companies, and I know for sure you would too!

Now let’s fashion in style!

1) SPGBK: I love this black-owned watch company so much that I had to purchase many different styles and colors! I got the denim & gold (left) and black & gold (right) SPGBK watches for myself. I also purchased the emerald green and olive green watches for my mother (not shown). What I really love about this company is that the owner is a HBCU alumni just like me!

2) Brandon Blackwood: I really love these purses, but the style that I love the most is the Nia bag. I had my eye on the denim Nia bag, with the brass “B” buckle for the longest and later decided to purchase it when it went on sale. It’s so classy and elegant!

3) Imitation by Jerell: I was looking for a statement piece of furniture for my living room that was made by a black artist. I came across Jerell’s Etsy and IG pages, which showcased all his wonderful art and furniture creations. The piece that stood out to me was a black, gold, and crystal table that was made in the shape of Africa. Surprisingly, it could also be hung up as wall art. This table was DEFINITELY a statement piece that went extremely well with my living room theme.

4) Tokun: The TOKUN boutique has lots of African culture/contemporary apparel and accessories. I fell in love with this jumpsuit, which came in a variety of colors. The jumpsuit was perfect for wearing to the beach! You should definitely stop by for a visit, if you are ever in the North Florida area.

5) Exquisite Boutique:  I purchased an OVi geometric-pattern blazer from the Exquisite Boutique, which was one of many vendors at a SIP.SHOP.EAT event in San Francisco, CA. I loved the way that the green, yellow, and neutral colors complimented each other. This blazer was very jazzy and chic!

6) Kays Exceptional Creations: I cannot count the number of custom-made shirts that I ordered from Kays Exceptional Creations. The MELANIN shirts were definitely my favorite ones! They also customize basketballs, pillows, and more.

7) Mars Made It: I fell in love with these customized crochet hats! I purchase my first hat on Etsy, from Mars Made It; however, the store is temporarily closed at the moment. BUT don’t fret because I also purchased crochet hats from other black-owned businesses, such as Dreams by the Stitch and JeneeCo, which are also on Etsy.

I hope these black-owned businesses inspire you to shop and add great pieces to your wardrobe or home collection. Don’t forget to be bold and beautiful…I promise, it will look good on you!😉
