Boston, Massachusetts was only a 45 minute drive from my New Hampshire travel-nurse assignment. My travel partner and I decided to head to Boston, while off work for two days. Word of Advice: When visiting, please drive very carefully; everybody there drove so crazy! Nevertheless, I had an awesome time, and I absolutely loved everyone’s Boston accent🥰 …
Now let’s tRavel iN style!
Day 1
We stayed at the Encore resort in Everett, MA, which was about a five minute drive outside of Boston. This was by far one of the best luxury hotel resorts that I have ever stayed in! It had amazing city views, dining, shopping, and entertainment.

Later that evening, we headed to the Boston Harbor Sunset Cruise. The views were very beautiful, and it was so cool to witness the USS Constitution’s Sunset Ceremony, which included the traditional cannon salute, signaling the day’s end. This was an evening to remember, especially the moment when I accidentally dropped my cellphone, which slid off of the cruise ship and landed in the water! My cellphone will forever be a part of the Boston Harbor.🙃

Day 2
After waking up early in the morning to run out and purchase another cellphone, we later visited the beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum that housed one of the world’s extraordinary collection of European, Asian, and American art. This museum is also known for having the largest, most significant art heist in history, where 13 masterpieces were stolen and remain missing.

Next, we strolled through Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Quincy Market, which had many shops (e.g., the Black Dog, Kate Spade, souvenir shops, etc.) and dining (e.g., the Sugar Factory, The Salty Dog, etc.). There were also some cool street performers to enjoy watching.

We ended our adventure with a spooky, eerie night on the Ghosts and Graveyard Tour. It was extremely intriguing to learn about the dark-side of Boston, especially the horror story about the serial killer nurse, Jolly Jane. Please go and Google her!

Lastly, we ate at Trattotia for dinner. This was the BEST Italian food that I have ever eaten! Since I love eating mushrooms, I ordered the Ravioli Porcini that was stuffed with mushrooms and marinated in a creamy, flavorful black truffle sauce (pictured on the left). Everything tasted amazing and was flavored to perfection!
