The Classy Smoke & Cognac Ensemble

I had an outfit that sat in my closet for years that I finally decided to wear to a “special event.” The event was a Black History Month Expo in Tennessee, in which I combined classiness with comfort. The outfit was a smoke-grey (with cognac stripes), two-piece matching pant set from Loli & the Bean. Let me show how I styled and accessorized the smoke/cognac set.

Now let’s fashion in style!

1) Top-piece: cropped, short cap-sleeve top from Loli & the Bean by glam. Even though I styled this outfit more casually, the cap-sleeve design gave it a sophisticated look.

2) Bottom-piece: high-waist, wide-leg trouser pants from Loli & the Bean by glam. The material was super soft and breathable and hugged my figure in all the right places!

3) Footwear: cognac, Tory Burch Metal Miller sandals. The cognac color sandals certainly brought out the stripes in the outfit.

…and last, but not least, the accessories!

4) Accessories: maroon and tan Tory Burch bucket-purse with minimal gold jewelry. Accessories add the perfect touch to any outfit. As always, I keep things simple and clean. Sometimes, a little goes a long way.
