A nice brim or fedora hat acts as a versatile accessory, which adds an air of sophistication to any outfit. For a more casual look, the hat would pair nicely with a simple t-shirt, jeans, and a stylish pair of boots. To elevate a more formal look, consider wearing the hat with a tailored suit or a sleek dress. No matter which look you’re going for, the brim/fedora hat would be a stylish addition to your wardrobe. Therefore, wear it with pride and confidence!
Now let’s fashion in style!
1. Brown Woven Short Brim Straw Hat
The brown woven straw hat was one of my favorite go-to hats for the summer. It was lightweight, and the flat brim helped block the sun from beaming on my face. I paired the hat with many different outfits, as seen in the photos. I also added a scarf as a hat-band accessory to give it a different look.
2. Colombian Traditional Sombrero Vueltiao Hat
I fell in love with the brown and cream-color hat the moment I saw it in a storefront in Colombia. I was informed that this was a traditional sombrero, often worn by people all over Colombia. I chose the brown and cream-color hat instead of the traditional Colombian colors (yellow/blue/red) because I could pair the brown/cream hat with more outfits that I already possessed.
3. Black Wool Wide Brim Fedora Hat
Everyone needs a black hat in their wardrobe. The style and color are elegant, classy, and could be worn when taking a nice stroll for the day or to a museum. I wore this hat with a black faux-fur trench coat, zebra-print dress, and black riding boots.
4. Beige Wool Fedora Hat
I enjoyed wearing the beige, wool fedora during the fall season. It paired quite nicely with other nude/soft color clothing.
5. Dark Cherry Brim Fedora Hat
I wore the dark-cherry (bordeaux) color hat at a photoshoot by Briana Sealy Photography at the Sanctuary at Cypress Run Farm, accompanied by a gorgeous horse named Leo. I paired it with similar color slim-fit pants and leather riding boots, a cream vest, and paisley-print scarf.
I hope you enjoyed the way I styled my brim/fedora hats. Honestly, there is no right or wrong way to style these hats. They are definitely the center piece of any look that makes your outfit go from plain Jane to fabulous Gladys!
