You may wonder how to go about seeing New York City (NYC) in just a few days…well let me help you out a bit! I will map out my four day trip to NYC with my BFF and share my best experiences…

Now let’s tRavel iN style!

Day 1

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn NYC Financial Center/ Manhattan Downtown, which was near the Staten Island Ferry, Battery Park, and a variety of restaurants. We walked along the Stone Street-Historic District and stopped by Beckett’s Bar & Grill to grab a quick lunch. Then, we walked to the Brooklyn Bridge, which was about a 15-minute walk from the restaurant. It was such a beautiful experience, but it was hot as h*ll outside! Although we enjoyed the moment, we decided to take a Lyft back to the hotel.

After we freshened up, we walked a short distance to the Ampia Italian restaurant. It had a modern, Mediterranean facade, with a beautiful rooftop cityscape. Unfortunately, it is now permanently closed. However, there are other majestic rooftop restaurants to visit in NYC, such as Highkey Rainforest Rooftop, Highwater Rooftop and more.

Day 2

We walked through The Battery, which was a park in lower Manhattan. It was located on the Hudson River, in which the Statue of Liberty could be seen, as well! Also, there were performers in the park, and one particular performer had python snakes that anyone could pay to take pictures with. I only wanted to take a picture with the albino snake, but the performer placed the other snake across my shoulders too. That was actually a nervous smile in the picture below; I felt the snake’s scales move up and down my neck…never again!

Later on, we visited a stunning, waterfront restaurant at Pier 15 called the Watermark. This outdoor dining had great cocktails and bar-bite appetizers. Even though this was New York, it had the ambiance of Miami, Florida.

Next, we rode on the Staten Island Ferry, which was a free transportation ferry-ride to/from lower Manhattan and Staten Island. The transportation routes took an average of 25-minutes to get from one destination to another. It was a cool, smooth ride, with great views of historical landmarks, e.g. the State of Liberty!

Day 3

If you wish to see most of New York and its history, purchase a ticket at the New York in One Day Guided Sightseeing Tour for the perfect experience. We saw the Statue of Liberty, of course, the World Trade Center, the Empire State, and more on this tour.

Later on, we went to the Whatever Forever bar/lounge for cocktails. We ordered the lavender margaritas, which were superb! Unfortunately, the bar/lounge is now permanently closed. This really sucks because it had a really mellow vibe, and the connected restaurant, Taco Taco had the best tacos and quesadillas ever. There were other great surrounding restaurants that remained open, such as Peaches Prime and Endswell.

After cocktails and dinner, we roamed around Brooklyn and discovered an amazing mural of the late rapper, The Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie.

Later that night, we headed to the infamous Time Square, home of some of the world’s largest billboards. It was full of tourists and street performers.

Day 4

On our last day in NYC, we went to Gregorys Coffee for breakfast. The chai latte was absolutely delicious! After breakfast, we strolled through SoHo, which was a high-end shopping destination, with art galleries. I stopped by the LV store and spotted a duffle bag that I fell in love with, except for the price!😩
