The Sienna Spotlight!
During the late summer, I attended an event called, Black Don’t, But It Do! in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a few people asked where I got my outfit from! I purchased it from White House Black Market (WHBM) and was quite surprised to see this warm, earthy color in this shop. The shop’s name led me to assume that it only sold black and white apparel for “mature” women. However, when I saw this color in a variety of modern styles and different pieces, I knew right away that I had to grab something in that beautiful color to add to my wardrobe! Let me show you the pieces I chose in this warm Sienna color that could be worn any season of the year.
Now let’s fashion in style!
1) Top-piece: Crossover Halter Vest from WHBM. I loved the halter neckline and medium-size, front buttons that gave the vest a classy look for business (could be worn to work under a blazer) or pleasure (could be worn to brunch or nightlife event)!
2) Bottom-piece: High-rise Flare Trousers from WHBM. Yes, the trousers had pockets! The high-rise, flare pants gave an illusion of a more slender figure.
3) Footwear: Classy off-white, fabricated, almond-toe slingback flats, by Franco Sarto. I do not know if it comes with age, but I am starting to look for more elegant, classy flats to pair with my outfits now. Comfort over everything! I purchased these shoes from DSW.
…and last, but not least, the accessories!
4) Accessories: I wore a cream colored crossbody purse with minimal gold jewelry. Accessories add the perfect touch to any outfit. As always, I keep things simple and clean. Sometimes, a little goes a long way.
